Fans Concerned As Tom Selleck Puts On Rapid Weight Following ‘Blue Bloods’ Cancellation

Since the abrupt cancellation of the cop drama TV series Blue Bloods, Tom Selleck, who played Frank Reagan on the show, has been gaining weight at a fast pace. Sources say he has been dealing with the termination of his gig by eating more, hence his unhealthy appearance in recent times.

Expert Dr. Gabe Mirkin, a doctor who specializes in fitness and nutrition, shared his thoughts on Tom’s latest look, noting that he has gained about 150 Lbs with most of the fat situated in his abdomen. True to Dr. Gabe’s words, the actor has been spotted out in Thousand Oaks, California, with a protruding tummy as he alighted from his Dodge Ram Truck.

Tom Selleck is heartbroken by the fate of ‘Blue Bloods’

The discontinuation of Blue Bloods came as a shock to Tom, who has been on the show since 2010. An insider revealed that he was heartbroken by the news and missed his co-stars so much as they were family to him. Sadly, Tom is having a hard time coping with this new phase and uses food as a getaway.

The 79-year-old has become a shadow of his old 200 lbs self from Magnum P.I. and is said to have difficulty fitting behind the steering wheel of his vehicle these days. Tom’s loved ones and fans are starting to express their concerns and urge him to hit the gym.

Expert issues warning about Tom’s weight gain

Although Tom has promised to make a lifestyle change, his heart and general health are likely at risk as Dr. Gabe calls for urgent intervention. According to the physician, abdominal obesity increases the risk of diabetes, heart attacks, and stroke.

Gabe called for Tom to get the fat out of his liver immediately through weight loss drugs or gastric bypass surgery if applicable. Reacting to the executive’s decision to end Blue Bloods, Tom said it was frustrating and hopes the decision-makers have a rethink.
