Prayers for Robert Irwin, who was attacked in the exact same way his late dad Steve Irwin wasđ
Bindi and Robert Irwin, the children of the late Steve Irwin, both continue their fatherâs legacy.
Like their father, they are equally committed to protecting Australiaâs biodiversity and its varied species.
But there are more parallels than that⌠When his father once had a similar encounter, young Robert Irwin captured it on camera.
In addition to sharing his late fatherâs appearance, Robert Irwin has also adopted many of his traits, including his work choice. The late wildlife warrior recently shared another eerily connection between the two guys on Instagram, which he could have done without.
Young Robert Irwin uploaded an old footage of his late fatherâs face being bit by a python snake on Thursday. The teenage snake handler subsequently posted a video of himself handling the same snake and suffering multiple bites on his nose and eyebrow.
âDĂŠjĂ vu. Dad and me getting bitten by the same species of snake (carpet python) decades apart,â Robert wrote in the caption for the video. âI found this python on the side of a road, but as you can see, sometimes snake rescues donât quite go to plan đâ
Both men, who are animal lovers, bravely accepted the bites. Robert handled the rescue with the same composure Steve did before attending to his wounds. âI got a little too close, so he gave me a bite. Theyâve got extremely sharp teeth like little needles.â. Here is a link to the video.
The late Steve Irwinâs wife, Terri Irwin, and his two children, Robert and Bindi Irwin, are carrying on his legacy and work with wildlife conservation at the Australia Zoo.
Steve Irwin died in 2006 at the age of 44 years old. He was stung by a stingray while filming at the Great Barrier Reef. At the time of his fatherâs death, Robert Irwin was only 2 years old.
In September last year, Robert remembered his dad on what was the anniversary of his fatherâs death as well as Fatherâs Day in Australia. He made a post and wrote, âItâs Fatherâs Day today in Australia, and I am sending my love to those who are missing their dad today. I cherish all the good times with my dad and feel grateful to be able to keep his memory and legacy alive â¤ď¸.â
Robert Irwin has grown up to be a wonderful man much like his late father. Steve would have been proud of his boy today for the work he is doing to keep his memory alive. Share this piece with other fans of Steve Irwin and his family to put a smile on their face.
